First Monday - Internet Focused Research

First Monday is a well respected open access, peer reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to research into the Internet. Recent issues, as of Fall 2018, have focused on topics such as ebooks vs print, queer internet studies, social media and the government, and gender and digital labor. First Monday is international in scope, but most articles are in English.

Directory of Open Access Journals

Directory of Open Access Journals is an organization whose mission is to increase access to high quality, peer reviewed research through sharing open access journals. As of Fall 2018 there were over 12,000 journals from 128 countries which encompass almost 3.5 Million articles and data sets. 

When students search DOAJ they will need to experiment wih their search terms and be sure to indicated that they want English language results.
